******* is one word! There is probably a "red neck fix" but I dont know what it would be.
Can you swap in a 1095 follower?Moose: Took the 10MM out today for the first time. Ran 10 rounds thru the OEM mag to sight in the red dot/laser and it all worked perfectly. I also have a 45 carbine so I took the 45 OEM mag, loaded it with 10 rounds 10MM ammo and they all fired perfectly without any modification to the mag at all. Locked the bolt back and put in the Redball mag loaded with 20 rounds 10MM ammo. Pulled the bolt back and let it fly. The bullet didn't load but was stuck pressing against the front bottom of the ramp. Pulled back the bolt, jiggled the mag a bit and it loaded and fired perfectly. Next round didnt load but stuck against the ramp. Etc. etc. etc. until 11 or 12 rounds left and they all fired perfectly. The first 8 or so bullets all fed nose down and being flat front bullets they didnt feed nose down. If the bullets were rounded might have been different but its the only 10MM ammo I have. Its obvious the narrower cases are slipping off the follower when they reach the double stack portion of the Redball causing the nose dive.
When I got home, I took the Redball mag apart thinking I could put a spacer along each side of the double stack portion to make up the difference in diameter between the 10MM and the 45ACP case. No can do as the spring is graduated to fit the case and no room for a spacer. There is probably a "******* fix" but I dont know what it would be. I also have a tired old HP 40S&W pistol at home so I took the spacer out of that magazine, loaded it with 10MM ammo and it dry cycled perfectly in the 1095.

Thanks for the detailed report! How do you like the gun overall?Moose: Took the 10MM out today for the first time. That's cute. We've covered tweaking the mags so often here, that most of the oldschoolers can do it blindfolded. We've even got the optimal measurements around here somewhere. The Youtube video has a good guide, and these helpful photos:
I'm guessing that may have saved me from ditching my three 10-round factory mags. That's cute. We've covered tweaking the mags so often here, that most of the oldschoolers can do it blindfolded. We've even got the optimal measurements around here somewhere.
I was impressed with the 1095. I set it up with a single point sling and will use it for crowd control...lol !!! I also ordered a PROMAG 45ACP, 14 round, single stack steel mag. I think it will easily adapt to the 1095. Should hold 15 rounds of 10MM.Thanks for the detailed report! How do you like the gun overall?
As for the mag, as Rachgier suggested, sounds like you might want to try bending the feed lips if you haven't. The Youtube video has a good guide, and these helpful photos:

Glad to hear you like it. Not so sure about crowd control thoughI was impressed with the 1095. I set it up with a single point sling and will use it for crowd control...lol !!! Good to know! I'll run some forum searches when it comes time to tweak mine. That's cute. We've covered tweaking the mags so often here, that most of the oldschoolers can do it blindfolded. We've even got the optimal measurements around here somewhere.
It's so simple, you'll feel silly when it's fixed. Then you'll ask why the hell they can't do it at the factory during qc checks.Glad to hear you like it. Not so sure about crowd control though
By the way, does it have the plastic weaver rails still, or metal picatinny? I've heard rumors here that some people are receiving them with picatinny lately.
HP posted about the new pic rails on FB. They're still plastic...
Good to know! I'll run some forum searches when it comes time to tweak mine.
My rails are still plastic. All Redball has to do to the 45 mag to use it for 10MM is reduce the width of the double stack end and use an appropriate size spring to fit the narrower case. Whats taking them so long?Glad to hear you like it. Not so sure about crowd control though

I saw my neighbor, Bubba, out slopping the hogs so I asked him if ******* was one word or two. Told Bubba a guy on a gun site said it was one word and I thought it was two. He didnt know but told me he knows fer shur that F*** Y** is two words.
I had to remove the top rail to install the American Flag shroud and it is securely held in place. I have owned many HP carbines and never had a problem installing any sight on the weaver rail.Good to know. Guess a top rail upgrade is in order

And as a newcomer I have no idea why it's taking Redball so long. They've been saying it's coming soon for years at this point, haven't they? Seems like they're leaving easy money on the table.
Set your mounts for your optics directly over the screws that mount the rail to the shroud because the screw goes in to threaded back plates under the shroud thus eliminating rail flex.I had to remove the top rail to install the American Flag shroud and it is securely held in place. Thanks for the pro tip - seen a lot of reports of scopes walking and becoming inaccurate due to the plastic rail flex. If that can be avoided and everyone can save $45 on a rail, so much the better.Set your mounts for your optics directly over the screws that mount the rail to the shroud because the screw goes in to threaded back plates under the shroud thus eliminating rail flex.
There is some cheaper aluminum Hi-Point specific rails on Amazon. Thanks for the pro tip - seen a lot of reports of scopes walking and becoming inaccurate due to the plastic rail flex. If that can be avoided and everyone can save $45 on a rail, so much the better.
I sent four quarter-sized 5-shot groups down range at 75y on a 3-9x scope on 3x with my 4095TS with the plastic rail on it. Did it for shiggles. Took the scope off it the next day and went back to factory irons. Thanks for the pro tip - seen a lot of reports of scopes walking and becoming inaccurate due to the plastic rail flex. I have owned a whole bunch of HP carbines and never had any flex in the rail. Keep in mind you arent shooting 300 yards. Most of my shooting is at 50 yards. My most accurate carbine was a 4095TS. I had to keep the target because I will never shoot one that well again...lol !!!Thanks for the pro tip - seen a lot of reports of scopes walking and becoming inaccurate due to the plastic rail flex. Bought a ProMag HIPA4 (45 ACP) 14 round magazine to try in the new 10MM carbine with 10MM ammo. First I tried loading 45ACP and it was very tight and hard to load. Since it was so tight I tried loading 10MM ammo without any tweaking and it loaded 15 rounds easily. Actually held 16 but the last one was really tight so I removed it. Dry cycled it all thru the carbine and it worked flawlessly. Will try it with live fire next week. As you can see in the pics the rear of the bullet rides high but stays in place. Might have to tweak it after it loosens up a bit from use. The front of the bullets ride perfectly in a nose up position and load perfectly. Single stack really helps putting 10MM ammo in a 45ACP magazine compared to Redballs double stack. Does anyone have a Promag HIPA5 40 S&W mag on hand? I need a measurement.
(FWIW I know it is dangerous to cycle live ammo thru an HP but I point the carbine towards my neighbors when dry cycling it
